Vasilis Afxentiou ("The Men in My Life") is an ESL/EFL teacher in Athens, Greece.  He as been teaching English on-and-off since 1968, and full-time since 1985. He has published fiction and non-fiction in Greece, Europe, Australia, Canada and the USA in publications such as Writer's Choice, Greek Accent, Akkadian, National Herald (Proini), and Crosscurrents, and the poetry anthology of Contemporary Greek Poets, Vol. III.
David Ritchie ("I, Emmanuelle"), a past contributor to Serpentine, has appeared in many on-line and print publications including: Poetry Motel, Live Poets Society UK, Northwest Literary Forum, Parnassus Literary Journal, Piedmont Literary Review, and was the blue ribbon winner for poetry with the Southern Poets Association.  He has been an active proponent of poetry through teaching and public performances for many years in the Seattle, Washington area, including radio and television.  His recent works appeared this summer in The Animist (Australia), bonfire (Scotland), Gravity (US), and Niederngast.   He resides in LaConner, Washington, and spends much of his time in the San Juan Islands. John Horváth Jr. ("Strike") writes from "inside the sinner" where events become experience, history becomes historicity, and memory shields.
